Meaning of Luke 17:20-37

Study:

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. Luke 17:20-22

Even though it would seem that the following discussion cannot be about the Second Coming, because Christ says, "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation," "the kingdom of God is within you," and "ye shall not see it"... and yet it is! The Pharisees demand "...when the kingdom of God should come..." and Christ says to the disciples, "The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man..." indicating that Christ's following discussion deals with the signs of the Second Coming.

The following studies will explain the meaning of verses 23 to the end of the chapter.

To be continued...
