Counterfeit Trinity/anti-Trinity/counterfeit Godhead, false christ/antichrist, etc.

Study:

Recall the structure of Revelation 1-16:

Jesus Christ & John (vss. 1:1-3)
The 3 (the Trinity) (vss. 1:4-6)
Second Coming (vs. 1:7)
Jesus Christ (vss. 1:9-20)
7 Letters to Churches (chs. 2 & 3)
The 3 (Father, Holy Spirit, & Son) (chs. 4 & 5)
1st 6 Seals (ch. 6)
144,000 (vss. 7:1-8)
Great Multitude (vss. 7:9-17)
7th Seal (vs. 8:1)
Angel at the altar (vss. 8:2-6)
1st 6 Trumpets (vss. 8:7-13 & ch. 9)
Angel with little book (ch. 10 & 11:1,2)
Two Witnesses (vss. 11:3-13)
7th Trumpet (vss. 11:14-19)
False 3 (dragon, sea & land beasts) (chs. 12 & 13)
the Lamb & 144,000 (vss. 14:1-5)
3 angels (vss. 14:6-13)
Second Coming (vss. 14:14-20)
7 Angels of Plagues (vss. 15:1-16:1)
7 Plagues on Babylon (vss. 16:2-21)

According to this structure the dragon, sea beast, and land beast of Revelation 12 & 13 form an anti-Trinity or anti-Godhead. Is this true?

The Godhead versus the False Godhead:

1. 3 in 1:

The first characteristic of the Godhead, that will be looked at is it's 3 in 1 character.

"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:" Deuteronomy 6:4

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the [one] name of (1) the Father, and of (2) the Son, and of (3) the Holy Ghost:" Matthew 28:19

Notice this 3 in 1 characteristic is shared by the dragon, beast (sea beast), and false prophet (land beast).

"And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of (1the dragon, and out of the mouth of (2the beast, and out of the mouth of (3the false prophet. ... And the [one] great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath." Revelation 16:13,19

2. Hierarchy:

The second and last characteristic of the Godhead, that will be looked at is hierarchy. This is the idea that, though all three are God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Father is of higher authority than the Son who is of higher authority than the Holy Spirit, thus...

"That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him [Jesus]." John 5:23

Jesus states this multiple times in the Gospel according to John (See John 5:23,30,36,37; 6:39,44,57; 8:16,18,29,42; 10:36; 12:49; 14:24; 17:21,25; 20:21). Paul states this even more directly.

"But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God [the Father]." 1 Corinthians 11:3

As Christ makes statements in the Gospel according to John indicating the authority of the Father over Him, so He makes at least one statement indicating His authority over the Holy Spirit.

"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:" John 15:26

This hierarchy of authority is also seen in the False or anti godhead/trinity.

"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, ... and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority." Revelation 13:1,2

"And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; ... And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him,..." Revelation 13:11,12

According to Revelation, the authority passes from the dragon to the sea beast to the land beast. It must therefore be that the dragon has the highest authority, then the sea beast, and lastly, the land beast.

God the Father and God the Son versus the Dragon and the Beast:

Christ says that in seeing Him you have seen the Father.

"Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?" John 14:8,9

Note that a similar relationship exists between the dragon and the sea beast.

"And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads." Revelation 12:3

"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy." Revelation 13:1

God the Son versus the Sea Beast:

As Christ came out of the waters of baptism to begin three and a half years of ministry at the end of which he is killed and resurrected...

"And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:" Matthew 3:16

"And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: ... And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week [3.5 days/years] he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,..." Daniel 9:26,27

"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. ..." Matthew 28:5,6

"Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week..." Mark 16:9

"And [Jesus] said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:" Luke 24:46

"For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead." John 20:9

So does the sea beast...

"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy." Revelation 13:1

"And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months [= 3.5 years x 12 months/year]." Revelation 13:5

"And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." Revelation 13:3

God the Son and the God the Spirit versus the Sea Beast and the Land Beast:

1. The Spirit represents the Son:

Notice that the Holy Spirit is to not be Himself but show Christ... that is, appear Christ-like or Lamb-like.

"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter [the first Comforter being Christ], that he may abide with you for ever;" John 14:16

"I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you [through the Holy Spirit]." John 14:18

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, ... he shall not speak of himself..." John 16:13

"...he [he Holy Spirit] shall take of mine [Christ's], and shall shew it unto you." John 16:15

It is for this reason that the land beast is described as he is, to appear Christ-like, even though he is really just a dragon.

"And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon." Revelation 13:11

But this lamb-likeness goes further.

"...saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed." Revelation 13:14,15

Like the Spirit, Who shows none of Himself but only Christ, the land beast gets to the point where he shows none of himself but is just an "image of the [sea] beast."

2. Fire from heaven:

As the Holy Spirit "caused" fire, himself, to come down from heaven at Pentecost.

"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:1-4

So does the land beast cause fire, a false spirit, to come down on the earth.

"And he [the land beast] doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men," Revelation 13:13

There is more here than meets the eye! The Holy Spirit comes down, at Pentacost, upon the church to make the church, its members, Christ-like. The land beast sends fire down from heaven, a false spirit, to make itself (through its people and government) sea beast-like. It is itself not only a kingdom/nation but also a church, according to Masonry! The end result of both fires from heaven is the transformation of the people, either for good or bad, for Christ or satan.
