6000 Years: the Great Cosmic Week

Many of the Church Fathers believed in the 6000 year age of the earth or the Great Cosmic Week. This was also a belief of the Pioneers of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. However, surprisingly, this is not just a belief of a few scattered remnants of God's people but is in fact a teaching embedded in the scriptures. How so? Recall that Revelation 12 & 13 incorporate imagery from Creation Week. Recall that this imagery is used to encrypt/decrypt the symbolic meaning of 666. The interesting thing about this is that if you take these references to the Creation Week and add to that the dating of the world powers or organizations symbolized by these symbols, then you obtain data falling in line with a belief in a Great Cosmic Week.
Here are the symbols of Revelation 12 & 13 with their interpretation, that is the world power or organization, etc. that they represent, the date of their rise, their equivalent in the Creation Week and the Day of Creation on which they occur.
According to Bishop Usher's Chronology, the Creation occurred 4004 BC. This gives a basis for establishing an approximate dating for the Days of Creation within the Great Cosmic Week. We can tweak these dates and get a more accurate dating of these days, by noting that Christ's first advent, 2000 years ago, was the most important event in earth's history in the last 6000 years. Of Christ's life, two events stand out as being most significant in Salvation history: the start of His ministry in AD 27 and His death in AD 30. From these dates we obtain two other sets of dates fixing the Great Cosmic Week in time. It should be noted that even if any of these numbers are correct, God is still free to shorten or lengthen the time of Christ's Second Coming in order to save His people.

So, based on the importance of Christ's ministry, the early Christan, as well as Advent belief, and the Bible itself we predict that Christ will return about 2027-2030, with the understanding that this time can be shortened or extended based on the all-knowing, loving nature of our heavenly Father, for it is His wish that none be lost.
